RRB Technician Qualification for Grade 1 Signal and Grade 3 Posts
RRB Technician Grade 1 Signal
  1. Bachelor of Science In Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute OR B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams of Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute (OR)
  2. Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of above basic streams (OR)
  3. Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of above basic streams”
RRB Technician Grade 3 Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Forger and Heat Treater/Foundryman / Pattern Maker / Moulder (Refractory). (OR) Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the related trades.

Age Limit

As mentioned in the RRB Technician Notification, the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age is different for both posts.

  1. The age limit to apply for Technician Grade 1 Signal posts is 18 to 36 years.
  2. The age limit to apply for Technician Grade 3 posts is 18 to 33 years.
  3. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is mentioned below in the table.

RRB Technician Exam Pattern for Technician Gr I Signal

  • The exam will be held in CBT mode.
  • Questions will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • A total of 100 questions will be asked for a total of 100 marks.
  • Candidates will be penalized for attempting a question wrong in the RRB Technician Exam 2025.
  • 1/3rd of the total marks will be deducted for each question attempted wrong by a candidate. No marks will be deducted for questions left blank or unattempted.
