1. What is NEET? (CBSE NEET 2017)

NEET 2017 is basically an entrance exam conducted in India for candidates who desire to study graduate medical course (MBBS), Dental course (BDS) or postgraduate course (MD/MS) in private or government medical colleges in India. NEET (Undergraduate) for BDS and MBBS course would be organized by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary School). Neet – UG has replaced the AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) and all other individual MBBS exams organized by states or colleges themselves.

UG (Undergraduate) courses at the All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, Jawaharlal Institute of (PG) Postgraduate Medical Education & Research JIPMER are exempted from the NEET’s purview, as these institutes were founded under a separate laws.

NEET UG 2017

NEET for Undergraduate is going to be organized for candidates seeking to get admission into BDS and MBBS programs. The exam is conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). Those who are interested can expect the application form to be released in the month of December 2016 and NEET MBBS Admission 2017 would mostly be organized the month of May 2017.

NEET PG 2017

NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance test) for PG (Postgraduate) program is going to be conducted by NBE (National Board of Examination) for candidates looking to get admission into MS/MD/PG Diploma courses. The Online registration for NEET PG would being in the month of September and the exam would be conducted in the month of December.

NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

You need to be Indian Resident. Non Resident Indian (NRI’s), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals are eligible.

Adhaar Card:

Adhaar Card is mandatory for all candidates except belonging to Assam, J&K and Meghalaya state.

No. of Attempts:

Candidates would be allowed only to attempt the NEET exam 3 times only. This is inclusive and applies to all category of students.

Age Limit :

Minimum - You need to be a minimum of 17 years of age as on 31st December – 2017 Maximum - You should not be more than 25 years of age for general category and 30 years of age for reserved category.

Qualification :

The candidates must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio- Technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to schedule casts/ Scheduled Tribes or other Backward Class, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in Class – XII examination in 2017 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

NEET 2017 Seat Quota Exam

Seat Reservation are offered to candidates applying for the 15% All India Quota Seats. Different percentage of seats is given to various categories such as Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, OBC and Physically Handicapped. Candidates can apply for admission through their respective category provided they meet the required criteria.

NEET 2017 Admit Card

The Admit ca4rd would be provided via online mode only through the official website i.e. nbe.edu.in. The admit cards for NEET 2017 would be available to download tentatively in the first week of April 2017. You need to note that the admit cards would not be sent by post. Admit cards would contain details like exam centre, exam date, anme and roll number of the candidates.

3. How to Check NEET Result 2017 Online

NEET UG Results 2017

The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is liable to organize NEET exam, evaluate answer sheet and declare the result. The result would be declared in the first week of June 2017 (tentative). The actual dates would be updated to candidates after it is released. Separate result list would not be declared for ST/SC category candidates.

NEET PG Results 2017

The NEET PG Result 2017 has been released on 15th January 2017 for all individuals who would appear for the examination. However those who attain the minimum qualifying marks would be declared qualified and would be eligible for admission into the PG medicine programs across the country. The NEET 2017 Results Date would be announced online and candidates will need to download the NEET PG 2017 Rank Card after it is released.

NEET 2017 Counseling

15% All India Counseling would be organized by the DGHS (Directorate General Of Health Services). Admissions for candidates would be given as per the ranks secured by them in the entrance examination.
